I am not a developer, how can I make "inspect element q", in the right click menu, go away simply and without interfering with anything? I, and I'm sure many others, don't need things to accidentally click and mar the smooth running of things. Thank you.

You could try this add-on: Menu Editor. If you try it, please post back on whether it works for this.

The various developer tools have a pref on the about:config page to enable or disable them.

You can search for devtools.*.enabled via the search bar on the top of the about:config page to see them.

You can set the Boolean pref devtools.inspector.enabled to false on the about:config page.

Thank you. Menu editor seems to be working. I've only just added it so I don't know if it conflicts anything else.

To the second reply: thanks for answering but the point was I don't have the skills or confidence to go messing about with 'about config'. Moz simply shouldn't have put stuff in that can distract the average user.
