The awesome screen is really, really far from awesome.

How do I disable this piece of garbage?

It overrides the about:config changes I made to insure a blank screen upon start up.

I would like to start with a blank screen or just reload my previous set of tabs.

Sorry, the new user interface in Firefox 14 for Android does not yet have a preference for changing the start page. Hopefully this will come back in a future version.
