When I run speed tests from firefox on two different sites my speed is less than 2mbps. When I use IE my speeds are shown correctly at 34mbps why with the latest update would firefox limit the amount of speed I can recieve?

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

You can also try to reset (power off/on) the router.

I have reset the router and even had the ISP give me a new router, I use F-secure software from charter, Like I said I had no problems with it until I updated to the latest Firefox.

The same thing happened to me with the update and I found the cause to be Adobe flash. I uninstalled it and am using the 10.3 now my speed is back to normal. Even the Adobe flash update was causing crashes and very slow internet.

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.
