I'm smiling at the "simple" part. :-)

Personally, I prefer using the shortcuts Windows gives us:

Ctrl+c to copy
Ctrl+v to paste
Ctrl+x to cut

You also can use the right-click context menu items.

You also can use the classic Edit menu (Alt+e to display).

But if you prefer to use the button supplied by the CMS, you do need to do a little reconfiguration in Firefox. Since I've never done it, I don't think I can reveal any unique shortcuts. There is an add-on that might help, but I haven't tried it myself: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/allowclipboard-helper/
