I can have many windows open without problems but often when Juno.com webmail website is open it will freeze the computer and requires task manager to shut down firefox. I have already disable flash plugins. That one website is the only one that produces the problem. Windowws xp pro

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Safe Mode seemed to sidestep the problems SO I cannot tell a lie, each link provided above noted to save time "Use the Reset Firefox Feature". That's what I did. All does seem fine now. I will be back if the symptoms recur. Thanks for the help and direction to the Reset button that I never knew existed even though I have been with FF since the fox was a little cub.
