When clicking a .html document, Firefox does not open the file for viewing, but instead continually asks "What should Firefox do with this file?"

I've tried Open with Firefox (default), which downloads the file, and opens a seperate tab in the foreground. Clumsy, but workable.

I've tried selecting the "Do this automatically", but it still asks me every time I try to open an .html file.

I've tried changing the option in Options -> Applications, to open with Firefox, but the same thing happens.

Occured after clearing recent history.
