How to go back one version?
I don't want to use version 23. How can I revert to 22? Windows Vista
And why isn't there a FAQ for this? I tried various questions and got nothing useful.

There actually is an article in the knowledge base, but maybe the title didn't jump out at you: Install an older version of Firefox.
Since I answered your question, will you answer the questions about why you feel it's necessary to downgrade?

Are you sure?
Can you explain how I can get V22 from that page?
The only thing I can see to do is click on the Linux download link at which point it pushes 23 at me again.
sorry Warehouseman, does this work?
It should use the same profile as the package manager did.
OK!
I have solved this for my own purposes.
The script is here as a github gist.
Usage is described in the first file. You
- get the longer file with wget,
- set executable permission
- and then run it
It will create a desktop icon you can then move to your launcher.
Warning. If any of the following scare you -- don't run the script.
- apt-get -y update
- apt-get -y upgrade
- apt-get -y dist-upgrade
- apt-get clean
- apt-get autoremove
- apt-get purge firefox
- mkdir -p ~/tmp
- rm -fr ~/tmp/firefox*
- rm -fr ~/firefox
- rm -fr ~/Desktop/Firefox.desktop
The problem is that your stupid new version is blocking all of our web sites and none of you will coherently tell us how to turn it off PERMANANTLY

Smacciemac, please start a new thread for your issue and we can help you resolve it. Tacking onto other users threads means we can't really help you.
I did.. Once again.. No one will answer the question on HOW TO PERMA DISABLE
@Smacciemac,
I'm curious, Smacciemac, how much work, time and money have you contributed to the Mozilla team?
Judging by your rudeness it must be at least a 5 digit figure at least, right?
I use the product.. the sponsors pay them.. that is the stupidest comment ever..
This thread has reached its conclusion - locking.
