Since Firefox was automatically upgraded to version 24, selenium IDE no longer works.

this is very frustrating as I did not request an upgrade (this has caused me problems in the past)

so, while I wait for a solution to the Selenium issue, how do I roll back to a previous version of Firefox (one that works with Selenium IDE)

Here is 23 https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/23.0.1/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2023.0.1.exe [en-US]

You should disable auto update otherwise Firefox it will update it self again.
