Malwarebytes continually blocks sites 74.120.16.83 et al, why is Mozilla trying to send me to those advertising sites?
There are many sites with 74.120.16. ranging from.19 to .150. They do not show up on Explorer, only on Mozilla. When checking on Bing these sites seem to be ad sites with a mention of honey pots?, although a description is limited. Using windows XP.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware <= You already Have it
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
