I can't get my homepages to stick. FF keeps resetting to Mozilla Firefox Start Page. Could it be issue with CCleaner?

I recently had a browser hijack and other issues, which I managed to thoroughly remove and fix. My whole system is clean and clear, and FF was keeping my custom homepage settings until today, after I had done some more maintenance - I ran CCleaner, and added another layer of virus protection (cyber vaccination). Since then, my FF won't retain my homepage settings, and reverts to the default pages.

I'm currentl;y running FF in safe mode so this troubleshooting report reflects that.

Try create a new profile and set the home page:

Also you can set the home page on about:config page, go there search for browser.startup.homepage change its value to

about:home - default home page
about:blank - a blank page
url - a link that you want
