in permission manager (about:permissions) i changed a permission for maintain offline storage FF is not remembering it

not sure if related: my setting under Preferences / Security is "always remember". However when i go the firefox addon Amazon cloud reader, it is not remembering i have been there, as it keeps giving the prompts as first time user. i tested this in chrome and it does remember i have visited the page.

what setting do i check to see why?

Do you keep other permissions?

Make sure that you do not remove the Site Preferences when clearing (recent) history.

Note that you may get a prompt if you exceed a specific amount of data that needs to be stored.

Some related prefs (see the about:config page):

  • offline-apps.quota.warn
  • offline-apps.allow_by_default
  • browser.offline-apps.notify
  • browser.cache.offline.*

yes, all other permissions appear to being kept. I have only changed this one.

What does it say on the "Tools > Page Info > Permissions" page?

When Offline data (do not confuse this with the regular disk cache) is stored then you should see the amount of data that is currently stored by a website on the Permissions tab.
