Last night gmail wanted me to change my password. I did so. This morning I changed it in Thunderbird. It worked all day until about 5PM it suddenly will no longer accept it. I am getting a message saying Login Failed. I can't receive or send email. Help!

open your gmail account in any browser check whether there is any warning. if not go to settings of your gmail account in the browser, click on forwarding and POP/IMAP in POP download 1. Enable POP for all mail. in IMAP Access: 1. Enable IMAP Access. Re enter your details in thunderbird. more info goto: https://support.google.com/mail/troubleshooter/1668960 Thanks hope it helps..

Thank you so much for your help. I am going to keep this information on hand. Weirdest thing, though. After trying and trying - rebooting Thunderbird, rebooting my computer - it just suddenly stopped acting up and everything starting moving. It was like it got constipated or something. Thank you, Judith
