No buttons to go to sites on New Tab page.

I just updated Firefox. Since then, the New tab page has been blank with only dotted-line squares where the sites I frequent used to be. I have not been able to put the sites back because no matter what I do nothing comes up on the New Tab page.

Can you drag a tab or bookmark or history item in one of the tiles on the about:newtab page?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
