Mozilla Speech to text
Hi There, Don't know if this the right place to ask this question. Was just watching the video at https://air.mozilla.org/intern-presentations-20121127/ That talks about the Speech to text recognition probably a two year ago video. Would like to know if there is something that has been made until now for mozilla FF as I tried to google a lot and could not get the interfaces for speech recognition. An example of what I am looking is https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html.
As per my experience with the above mentioned stuff it seemed like chrome uses internet to get the data.
Just would like to know if Mozilla has any such features or they in Que to come for Mozilla or there will be any JavaScript interface released for the same.
Would happy to hear for the same.
Thanks

There's a couple of add-ons that do this:
I found this but I'm not sure if it's still active as it was filed back in 2011. I didn't even know MozHacks was still live.
Thanks for the reply Moses. I am looking for something that won't be plugin dependent. Like the way you do in Google Chrome. Also I am looking for Speech to Text not Text to Speech.
Would be great if I can get the proper solution for my question.
Thanks Again.
Oh, Speech to Text. My bad.
I don't seem to be able to find anyway to enable native support for Speech to Text. If you would like to see this appear in future Firefox releases, you should submit feedback to the Firefox developers at input.mozilla.org/feedback or file a bug at Bugzilla to see what developers have to say.
Please read the Bugzilla etiquette before posting in other bug reports You can try to use this extension if you want
Please note that other contributors probably have better ideas than I do.
