Firefox was repeatedly crashing. Following instructions I Refreshed Firefox.

In logging into an account I forgot a password.

As usual I go to Tools >Options, but am sent to  :: about: preferences#general :: description page of : General, Search, Content, etc. It seems like I should be able to hit a Save Button, but none exists.

I am unable to access the Options I need.

Firefox was repeatedly crashing. Following instructions I Refreshed Firefox. In logging into an account I forgot a password. As usual I go to Tools >Options, but am sent to :: about: preferences#general :: description page of : General, Search, Content, etc. It seems like I should be able to hit a Save Button, but none exists. I am unable to access the Options I need.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
