how to make sure my browser has loaded most recent page from business website
I have searched an item at an on-line retailer. Price shows on sale. I go to the store, no sale. Person at store suggests I have to clear cache to somehow prevent my browser from reloading an "old" page, which apparently happens a lot on smartphones, etc. to save on data usage.
How do I get most recent "version" of their page with that item on it or are they to blame??
Thx!

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Thanks to both of you.
So, once I have cleared the cache, then I reopen the webpage, the info IS the most current, right? Normally, I should be able to hold a business accountable to what I am now seeing on their site, correct?
Thanks again! All the best.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
