I don't think I recognise the indicators you refer to. Screen shot, please.

And no, Thunderbird doesn't provide any servers.

I did try to upload the screenshot when I submitted the question. Here is another attempt. It is just the bottom left corner of the window. If Thunderbird doesn't provide any servers, why then is there a facility to [Enable] or [Disable] them ?

My best guess is you installed an add-on providing these buttons. If you don't know what they are good for remove the add-on.

You can start Thunderbird in safe mode to prove the theory. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
