Firefox keeps changing my printer to non-default printer
I have 2 printers I use on my computer - a thermal receipt printer and a Xerox laser printer. I set the receipt printer as default, and have had issues in the past with Firefox defaulting back to the Xerox. So I would go into about:config and manually change it to the receipt printer and it would be fine. But I just replaced the computer and using Windows 10 and Firefox 54.0.1. It keeps defaulting back to the Xerox printer. When I set it in about:config, it will stay to the receipt printer until the next time I print to the Xerox, then it defaults back. I have tried everything I can think of. What can I do to force it to stay on the receipt printer, unless I specifically choose Xerox? Thank you.

The default printer is the last used printer. It seems to work the same in Firefox 54.0 the same as it always has for me.
In about:config if you modify print.save_print_settings from true to false the print_printer Value shouldn't get changed every time you change back and forth between printers.

Thank you, that did it. And I think I had to do that previously on my old computer, but I forgot about that step.
