I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird and have somehow lost contacts; is there a way to restore my contact list?
I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird as my host for Sask Tel Email for several years. I am no longer able to use it. I get the following message when I click on the link: "Your Thunderbird Profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible".
I must have somehow deleted the profile.
The biggest problem with this is that I have lost all of my email contacts and have no way of restoring them. I have a few of them on my Sask Tel (remote website), but unless I sent email through the remote site the addresses are not there. Sask Tel no longer supports their email. I hope you can help.

Find out if you have your Profile but thunderbird cannot locate it.
If Windows OS: make hidden files and folders visible: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
Check this location: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\
In the 'Thunderbird' folder, there should be a 'profiles.ini' file. see image below. Open the 'profiles.ini' file using Notepad and copy paste the contents into this forum question.
What do you see in the 'Profiles' folder? Post an image so forum can see.
click on each profile name folder eg: xxxxxxxx.default click on 'Mail' folder to see 'Local ~Folders' and pop mail accounts. click on 'ImapMail' to see imap mail accounts.
Do you see anything? Do the mail accounts contain eg: Inbox with a good size? make sure the 'Size' column header is shown. Post image.
If you can see a mail account with good size files, then tell the forum the name of the 'profile name' folder which contains them.
