Search Google Maps - Legacy Extention
I understand the new 57.0 has discontinued using the Legacy extensions and has moved to API. (I think I have that right) I used Search Google Maps in my right had click menu almost daily for my work. What will be a replacement or will there be?

1. Could you provide a link to this extension?
2. I'm pretty sure that such an extension is easily rewriteable in the new API.

There are a slew of Google Map search plugins available from that website. Mozilla - MozDev hosted the Mycroft Project for many years before it was spun off to its own website.
Take a look thru these: http://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?name=Google+Maps
As far as using that search plugin via right-click; set that as your Default Search engine and it will appear in the context menu when something is highlighted by you on a webpage.
I realize it's an extra click, but...
Is Google your default search engine in Firefox? If it is, when you select an address and use Search Google for... on the context menu, the maps integration should be the top result.

Oh my lord. Every time I go to search ANYthing now I get a map. Not the work around, for sure.

I can't imagine everything you send to Google has a map associated with it. Please double-check that you have the standard Google search plugin selected as your default search engine.
