I'm not personally familiar with this Norton feature. Did it used to work a different way before? Is there a way to open the Vault before starting Firefox so it stays open in the background?

If you think it would help to prevent Firefox from closing completely when you close the last tab, there is a setting to display a "new tab" when you close the last tab. This is how you turn that on:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste tabs and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab preference to switch the value from true to false

jscher2000, thanks for your reply, there has not been a problem using explorer or google, just firfox. it opens with a web page i dont know if it would work otherwise. thanks for other information i will try it and reply later. i,m not too good with settings as you can probably tell. thanks again

Ohhh, I see, you need to log into your vault site, and your logins are saved in your vault, so Firefox doesn't log you into your vault automatically.

Does Norton maybe have an updated add-on for Firefox to make this easier?

I believe you need to use the Extension now for Firefox : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/norton-identity-safe/

There also a Norton Safe Web https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/norton-safe-web/ A poor replacement of the Norton Toolbar. If go to Norton or google Norton Toolbar will find some links to give your displeasure.
