History: No view of recent history; no "today, yesterday"
I have a new Mac book pro (Mojave). Already spoke to Apple-can't help. HISTORY tab: No yesterday, today; no recent history saved; options only start at November (instead of now...end of December); Can't clear history; can't save bookmarks. I reinstalled Firefox. I still have the problem. I tried to upload a screen shot to this inquiry but it won't upload.

When you reinstalled was that after a complete uninstall of firefox and deleting Mozilla folder?
Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" - remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

I want to see my history. It doesn't give me the usual options of "today, yesterday" and starts with November (instead of December). But as well, I can't clear history. As well I can't save bookmarks.
Sounds that recent history has been cleared or there is a problem with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history).
Doesn't Firefox save any history?
Once you save new history then today and history should reappear
If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
in case errors are reported close and restart Firefox and retry

If "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
hi. thank you for your in-depth reply this is beyond my ability. How do I find someone (to pay) to do this? What/who do I search for? Can it be done remotely or do I have to find someone to work directly on my machine?
