We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- On the keyboard, press [Windows] The image "Windows key" does not exist. + [R]. This should bring up a Run window that contains a text field.
- In that text field, type %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
- From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
- Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
- Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!

Those are of no use as they are not proper crash report numbers.
If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter Open the file browser/explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar;
Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted
Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Copy the most recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Post the information in the reply box.

only two crash reports. @FredMcD firefox was working last night and today morning its not starting at all. It just opens the window for name sake and does nothing, even the menu is working with selective options. I did a reinstallation still its the same.
Those two crash reports are too old and do not have any value.
Do you get the crash reporter or does Firefox merely not start?
Can you attach a screenshot?
- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.
- Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
- Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
If you lost personal data then it is possible that a new default-release profile folder has been created. See "Determine if Firefox has created a new profile":
Firefox will just open the window and done, completely ceased. Nothing works address bar work only to type in the website add rest nothing. I did a complete clean Re-Installation still not working. Same problem is Google Chrome, only thing working is IE:-11.0.9600.18426
Hi Rutz
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Then it's something else on the computer causing the problem.
As a test, disable your protection programs. Then try using a safe website like Mozilla.
Can you help me in undoing I can't see any other option than edit post.

I will flag this thread and ask a moderator to remove that Chosen Solution mark. You're not the OP of this thread anyway.
