After setting up a TB POP account with an Gmail email account, around 3500 messages had been downloaded (the whole year 2015, 2016 and half of the year 2017) at first. Then I had to manually execute 'Get messages' to download "new" messages. Executing 'Get messages' on a POP account, gets around 100 messages at once. I still need to download about 4000 messages. That is about 60 'Get message' execution. I wonder, if there is any add-on or settings to download all the messages at once.

No error or other messages about limits has been display to time.

p.s. I aim to download all messages, back them up in a TB native archive or else and migrate away from Google. I anybody has a good suggestion to migrate and archive, you are welcome.

hi svj.svetovia.523.1, if you want to migrate away from gmail,

  • then if you plan use another "big" provider such as outlook, why don't use that provider's support to import emails/settings from gmail? as an example do outlook support importing emails from gmail, i did a google search for "migrate from gmail to outlook" and as example ended up with "How To Migrate From Gmail To Outlook.com", which described "Import Email accounts" ,
  • alternatively why don't use the download function in Gmail ? Do a google search for "How To Download All Emails From Gmail", you will find support showing how to do (aka log in to your gmail/google account -> head to "Account" -> In the search field type "takeout" -> click "How to Download your data" and the click on the link provided "Download your Data" -> Deselect all but mail (all products will be selected) -> By default are all your emails downloaded but you can choose specific labels/folders (click on the label "All Mail data included" -> Click next, now choose "Choose file type & size, frequency and destination" -> Create Export)

it seems easier to me than downloading to TB
