Thunderbird hangs on exit
I have Thunderbird 125.0 (64-bit) on Win 11.
Everything works perfectly, BUT..
If I select File->Exit then it just goes into not responding mode and I have to end task to restart TB.
If I just click X then the window closes but If I click my thunderbird icon to bring it back up, nothing happens.
I often have multiple TB processes which I have to kill.
On system restart, everything is fine unless I try to exit TB.
In case it matters, I have private ISP email acc, and 1 hotmail and 1 gmail acc.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks Steve

Many Thanks for the reply.
Just BTW - Patch my PC was the update tool that changed it to 1.25. I went back to 1.15 and got this: A newer version of Thunderbird may have made changes to your profile which are no longer compatible with this older version. Use this profile only with that newer version, or create a new profile for this installation of Thunderbird. Creating a new profile requires setting up your accounts, calendars and add-ons again.
I can't face that so back to 1.25 and I'll try turning off the empty trash options..
Many Thanks for the pointer though, much appreciated.

You are using a pre-release version that is not for use. Please revert to 115.10.1 until that release is ready.

You're welcome. Also, when encountering that message and you want the prior version, look for a file in profile named compatibilties.ini and delete it. That should allow the use of a prior version.
