Thunderbird for Android - POP Account and Creating local subfolders, Undeleting, and Printing Emails
I was very excited to hear about Thunderbird for Android. I have been using K-9 for years. My account is a POP account. I have only 3 gripes with K-9 that I hope are addressed in Thunderbird for Android.
1) K-9 does not allow me to create local subfolders to organize my emails. My inbox is a monster of disorganized emails and so the search option is my only friend. 2) If I should accidentally delete an email in K-9 I cannot undelete it. 3) K-9 has never provided a way to directly print emails. I have to forward the email to my print server.
Please, can anyone tell me if these deficiencies have been addressed in Thunderbird for Android?
Many thanks.
Richard

Hi richard
some ideas/responses to above
1. Yes, you can create subfolders - if you are using IMAP these will then replicate to the desktop, though you need to set the fodlers to do so - each folder setting has the option to Sync.
2. With Delete, there is a confirm actions under Interaction, you can also set to only delete on the device, and so NOT a tthe server end, so can still be recovered that way, at least. Not sure if there is an Undelete, not found it yet!
3. I think that is a general limitation, at the moment anyway. Save the file to device and print it from there.. prob same as sending to the print server in your case.
hope that is a bit of help ciao Antony
@Antony Can you explain where the option to create a folder is? I notice that you mentioned IMAP, but like Richard, I've been needing to do this for my POP3 account and cannot see an option for this anywhere.
