There is not hing in the history folder.

Since last 4 days my history has not been updating, its still the same webpage i visited 4 days ago. Now today i opened the history window and there is nothing there, not even bookmarks, and not even the sites i visited today. Atleast there should be the homepage, but its blank like i just installed firefox. Here's a snapshot if you dint understand what i meant by history completely gone:

As you can see in the snapshot, i have tabs open in the browser but there is nothing in the history window. Help me since i revisit many websites every day i need the history. I even reinstalled firefox but its the same thing

First check to make sure that no internet security application is removing your browsing history, and make sure that Firefox is not clearing the data - see Clearing private data to check the Firefox settings.

Another possibility is the file that stores history and bookmarks (places.sqlite) is locked or damaged. Can you add any bookmarks? If the file is damaged you will likely not be able to add bookmarks. If that is the case see Locked or damaged places.sqlite - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
