Laptop died, but have old HD. Didn't save bookmarks per se, but where would last bookmarks be in Firefox folder or on old HD?
My old Dell Studio 1536 running windows 7 won't power up. But I have old HD hooked up as external drive. I didn't "export" bookmarks to an HTML file, or "backup" as a .json. But shouldn't the bookmarks be another file somewhere on the old HD, in the Mozilla/Firefox folder? Where did/does Firefox look to get bookmark info to load that you see in Bookmark pulldown menu?

Thank you for the quick response the-edmeister! I found the old profile on the old laptop HD and tried to cut and paste it into the new computer's Firefox profile folder, deleting the profile that was originally in the new computer's profile folder after installing Firefox on new compter (without my bookmarks...)..
Must have screwed things up since keep getting en error "Firefox is already open, close..." etc.. Rebooted, same error, reinstalled Firefox, still error. Uninstalled Firefox from Control Panel , but choose option keeping personal info, same error. Had to completely uninstall and reinstall Firefox to be able to open Firefox.
So now that I know where old profile is, how do I get last bookmarks over to new computer's Firefox?
Thanks again!! Tim
Hey again the-edmeister,
'GOT IT! Went into new Firefox, show all bookmarks, and restore and found the latest .json file in the old HD Firefox profile folder.
Thanks again for all your help!!
Sincerely, Tim
