When I open Firefox, It opens http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/5.0/whatsnew/ What do I do to stop this? Hint- it has nothing to do with options or home page, everything works fine except this.
All tab apps and settings work fine except I also get the Welcome page. I have found 3 "prefs" files. I removed 2 of the system prefs files and it still happens.

here is a solution that worked for me from another poster Hello!. I have this problem too. What I've done is
1. Firefox Help menu up the top button>help>Troubleshooting Information 2. Under Application Basics, click Open Containing Folder 3. there will be prefs.js, user.js and sessionstore.js 4. Delete all 3 files 5. restart and done.
on firefox press Ctrl+alt+del to clear everything, choose everything and delete all.
Hope it helps!

To Cor-el,
Please stop replying to my questions.
Thnx
Why didn't you remove all three prefs.js files?
You may have left one file prefs.js that is causing the problems.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
