When I try to install v. 7 it has an update that I can't get past. 8 messed everything up. Want to go back to 7
All bookmarks & ability to bookmark a page are gone with v8. When I try to install v 7 the wizard won't allow continuing unless I click on the update. This installs the 8.0.1 which is terrible, not compatible with my security program, & lost all bookmarks or ability to bookmark any pages at all. This upgrade is awful. Please send me instructions on reinstalling 7 without the forced update. Why can't we keep a version we like? Why force us to upgrade when things are fine as they were & newest upgrade is horrible? I really need my AVG security toolbar. Pls make FF compatible with it.

Sorry you did not get an answer to this, but I do note you are apparently now using firefox 10.0.2.
One reason for the rapid release cycle that Firefox has now adopted is to keep firefox secure and up to date. You may even find Firefox itself offers some of the facilities that the troublesome AVG offers. And MS offer free AV with MS security essentials.
AVG often seems to cause problems with firefox.
