In Privacy tab I have everything unchecked. I click Exceptions and only allow certain sites. When I restart my computer the sites I have entered in the Exception area have disappeared. How do I make those sites stay in the Exception area?

In the Privacy tab I have 'Always use private browsing mode' checked. I have 'except cookies from sites' unchecked. Nothing else is checked. Then I click Exceptions and only allow certain sites to have cookies. The problem is that when I restart my computer the sites I have entered in the Exception area have disappeared and I need to enter all the sites again. How do I make those sites stay in the Exception area and not disappear?

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the 'Site Preferences' when you close Firefox.

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
