Firefox said it was installing an update, then disappeared. Now my firefox icon produces Safari!

Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and a Mac with an Intel processor.

hello, updates were apparently wrongly offered to a subset of os x tiger users. the release team is working on a fix. sorry for that!

you can redownload version 3.6.28 for mac from the last link that cor-el has provided & install it again. afterwards please disable auto updates in preferences >advanced > updates.
