when trying to watch a video on youtube and other sites it will play but all u see is a green screen....why is this?

video plays have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player with no result....added realplayer....no result.....ran avast ccleaner and mallwarebytes and no results....reset firefox to default settings and no result

A green screen usually means the the player failed to create a proper video overlay wind and that you only see the green place holder.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
