How can I get my thunderbird address book to show up in alphabetical order by surname?
When entering my email addresses in the address book they do not show up in alphabetical order by surname. What do I do to get it to do so?

In Address Book, View/Show Name As/Last, First, then View/Sort by/Name & Ascending. Press Alt or F10 if the Menu Bar is hidden.

View menu > Show Name As > Last, First
I have this same problem, but my Address Book doesn't stay sorted. I have to sort it on "Email" address first, then sort it on "Email". Then, and only then, can I find an email address. I have to do this EVERY time I send an email. After I return to Thunderbird, the email addresses are jumbled again.
