I can't copy/paste images from webpage to a textedit. It used to. Why not now?

I am using a MacBook Pro. I used to be able to copy/paste the whole web page (both text and images) to a TextEdit doc. page. Now it only copy/pastes the text without any images. How do I get it to copy/paste the text and images again? Please advise. Thanks, Sue

Hmm. What Mac OSX are are you using? Is it fully up to date? Is firefox up to date? I was able to copy and paste images to text edit so I don't have much else to offer.

Have a great day! Jon

Hi Sue, the first thing that comes to mind is: TextEdit offers both Rich Text and Plain Text editing. If you are getting purely plain text, i.e., all same font/size/color, you may need to go to the Format menu and switch to Rich Text.

If you get formatted text but no images, could you test with pages from a few different sites to see whether it is site-specific?

Also, when you select, do you use the Command+a shortcut or Edit>Select All? Sometimes that works better than selecting with the mouse (more complete results).
