Signed up for FFsync and now cannot get in, have asked for an email to change pw 3 times - no answer HELP!

I signed up for Firefox Sync and now I am having trouble getting in because I mistakenly asked to set a "master" password for all platforms. I did not get a message that my password was not acceptable, but it's the only thing I can think of that may be wrong because I have continually put in the password I set this morning. I have requested a link to change my password 3 times now and have received nothing. I'm caught in a loop that wants a password from me, but then tells me it is incorrect, but I can't ask for a"set a new password" without the old password - which apparently I typed incorrectly because I can't get signed in. HELP me - I just want to delete Firefox Sync - it has cost me over two hours today - no time for this!

  1. Just to be 100% clear you have: followed the steps in this article to reset your Firefox Account password right? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information

  3. Have you tried resetting your master password ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-master-password-firefox-android
  4. Perhaps removing the Android device from sync by following this article's instructions will help: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync#w_remove-an-android-device-from-firefox-sync_2
  5. If the above don't help please let us know your Android phone or tablet model (e.g. HTC One, Samsung S5) and your Android version (e.g. 4.4 kitkat, 4.1-3 jellybean)
