Why don't the bookmarks just show up when you click on "bookmarks"?
I don't want to have to go through several searches, folders, or anything to find bookmarks which should be available when I click on the "bookmarks" icon. The list of bookmarks should be available with only one click, without having to go through "unsorted bookmarks", "recently tagged", "frequently visited", or anything else. Just fix it so that one click AND ONE CLICK ONLY gets your list of bookmarked sites available. I don't know who talked you into doing this stupid piece of programming, but I am seriously thinking about going to a different browser if this continues. It is idiotic to have to go through this many steps to get to a bookmarked page.

I understand your issue. if you notice the carots ► once you open up section of bookmarks you need and close out and reopen bookmarks it should open right to where you need it to be.
plus if you don't use things like bookmark tool bar and such you can remove those from bookmarks.
That still doesn't open my bookmarks list when i click on the bookmarks icon. I don't want to have to go to this and open that, and then move so and so to such and such. I want the list of bookmarked pages, the actual pages-not folders or menus-to appear when I click on the bookmarks icon. I want it the way FireFox used to to be in this item, not the way it is now. I still get a partial list from ones I bookmarked before the "updated" Firefox, but since the update I have to go find the bookmarks I want. At the way Firefox has me doing now it's quicker to just write down the urls and enter them in than it is to try and locate the page I bookmarked.
Just to be sure that you understand how it works:
- Clicking the star on the Navigation toolbar will bookmark the page in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star turns blue to show that
- Bookmarks > "Bookmark This Page" (Ctrl+D) will bookmark the page in the Bookmarks Menu folder (you need to confirm that)
If the URL in the current tab is bookmarked and the star is highlighted blue then click this highlighted star or use "Bookmark This Page/Edit This Bookmark" (Ctrl+D) to edit the properties of the bookmark like name and location and move the bookmark to another folder or remove the bookmark
So if you want bookmarks to appear in the Bookmarks menu drop-down list then you need to move those bookmarks to that folder. You can do that in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) via a drag or cut and paste if there are a lot that needs to be moved. You can select multiple bookmarks in the usual way via Shift or Ctrl (Ctrl+A selects them all).
