I use the Classic Theme Restorer add-on to revert the Firefox UI back to the simple intuitive appearance it had pre- v29. So I have buttons for history, bookmarks, navigation backwards and forwards, reload and Adblock. Is there any similar add-on for Firefox for Android that does something similar?

No. It is not possible to do CTR for Firefox for Android.
