I visit a particular website and upload Excel spreadsheets there. At first, the browser asked for the file with "All Files (*.*)" for the specification of the files in the correct folder. One day it changed to "All Supported Types (*.gif;*.jpg)", and it has been that way ever since. I've tried using other browsers and *.* shows up, so I can't see it being the fault of the website. Where in Firefox do I reset the type of file for the upload for this website? (FYI: I've tried removing the mimetypes.rdf file after closing Firefox, but that didn't help.) I'd prefer not to have to set the browser back to all factory defaults.

I believe it is dependent on the site. I cannot find a site where this is consistent. Talk to the web developer of the site to make sure.

If it's dependent on the site, it's also dependent on Firefox. As I said, this is not evident in other browsers. I've already contacted the site, and I'm the one with the problem. So if it wasn't like this when I started, and it doesn't do this for other browsers, then why can't I tell Firefox to reset its understanding of/settings for this site?

This might be a problem with the MIME database registry keys.
