I had been using Norton Toolbar with Norton Identity Safe extensively on your browser. I don't remember all of my passwords and I use the Norton app for this. Without it working on your browser, I need to use a different browser, which I do not necessarily want to do. I worked fine for years until a recent update of the browser. How do I use the two things I like together, again??

Unfortunately, if you installed the November 5th update to your Norton software, then you are in limbo when it comes to using your password "vault"; it no longer works to go back to an earlier version of Firefox.

Norton is working on compatibility fixes but has not given a timeline to complete them. See:

As you can imagine, since this is security software, none of us is going to freelance with suggested hacks, nor will we recommend downloading old versions of Norton software from random websites. If you prefer to stick with this password manager, you can use Norton's forums to help keep the pressure on.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

You can recover your list of passwords by opening the main Norton window, double clicking on Identity to open your Identity Safe then click on the gear at the bottom to open the settings window. Select import/export and export your file as a .CSV which you can open into a spread sheet.

Not as good as getting your Norton toolbar back, but at least you information is not lost.
