How to fix that Upon boot up my computer is set to startup Firefox/Google calendar but now opens a duplicate site that I must close first.
My computer is configured, that on boot-up, my Google Calendar is opened in my Fire Fox browser. However after a recent Windows 7 update, it now opens duplicate Google Calendars. (The URL is identical except for case in some parts) This then requires me to close the duplicate calendar before working on the default calendar. How can I eliminate the duplicate.

How do you start Firefox? Are you opening a link in the default browser (internet shortcut) or do you open Firefox directly?
Try to redo the default browser setting and temporarily set another browser as the default browser.
You can use the MSConfig program or the Autoruns utility to see what software is getting started.

Press the Windows icon bottom right of your screen. Windows > All Programs > Startup
Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.14
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 15.9.20069
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape: Adobe Reader Version 2015.009.20069 Note: McAfee Security is offered in the download.
I re-checked my Startup folder and I see only one version of Fire Fox and one version of Google Calendar. However there must be something else that is triggering the automatic opening of a duplicate Google Calendar.
The other issue you commented on re System Details is incorrect and may have resulted from my incorrectly answering questions in my application for support for the above issue.
The Firefox program fills out the System Details.
Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar.
There are two settings;
- When Firefox Starts
When the browser is started, what do you want to display. Many of us choose Show My Home Page.
- Home Page
When a new page is opened, what do you want displayed.
- Use Current Page. Use what ever page(s) are open at that time.
- Use Bookmark
- Restore To Default. about:home shows a Mozilla home page with tools.
You can use any of these that you wish;
about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),
or you can enter any web page or about: page you want.

I believe Firefox is started by being checked in the Startup tab of System Configuration (SC). My Google calendar is the default site (Home page) for Firefox. I have ATTACHED a screen print of the SC screen for your review. There is some overlap of files in the screen print.Let me know if there is any other information you would like. Thanks
