I don't want to ask the public. I want to ask the creators of Lightning to change the following problem.

I am using version 4.7.1.1 in Thunderbird version 45.1.1.

Calendar event alerts steal the focus when popping up. I do not touch type, so have unintentionally dismissed calendar events. This could cause havoc since I pay all my bills and track my appointments based on reminders from Lightning Calendar.

I like that the alerts come to the front but they should NOT steal the focus from other programs.

Why should I have to report this twice? It isn't a bug - it is an oversight in design.

Then don't. Creators read bug reports and do not visiting here with the lowly public.

Right, well I guess if this is the quality of support, it should not be called support.

If you want to argue the correct answer when you get it and insult the people trying to help you then you get what you deserve.

IT is not working as you think it should. That is a bug. Be it an enhancement request or a rebuild from the ground up in Javascript.

Support is to help people fix issues they have with setting or file corruption. Or explain features of the program.

What is is not about is changing the way the program functions because someone want it that way. The major driver of that is that Development and support are not linked. So if you don't file a bug a developer will never get to hear about your issue. I or one of the other volunteers could file it on your behalf. and we often do for regression bugs. But enhancements. Your on your own.on. I have no idea really what you perceive is "right" behavior so when the developer ask me a question as the reporter of the bug my answer is "I don't know" so they go "bug closed waste of my time".

Your definition of support and ours is clearly different, but if you want change you need to either get with the way it is done or put up with it. At this point you have "reported" nothing. You would probably have done just as well to post it to your own timeline in Facebook.
