I can't start firefox with the usual command but need to use firefox -P then click the button "start firefox". In the terminal I get this:

(firefox:7340): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed

This is in Linux Mint. Everything was just fine until a website got hung and I had to quit firefox ( the previous install) Then it wouldn't start, so I deleted that and reinstalled. Still, won't start. Thanks, paystreak

Just noticed additional output in terminal: Vector smash protection is enabled. ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.

After shutdown and restart it's working again. My desktop launcher works with the usual command. Not sure what was going on. paystreak
