google keeps asking me to make it default. doesn't start my windows from last time.
I open Firefox now and 3 windows open. One trying to get me to go change my default browser to Firefox. The other asking me if I want to restore my tabs from the last time. and the third, I don't remember what it says, something about syncing which I am not interested in. I do not want Firefox as my default but every single time I open, I get the same pop up, do you want to make Firefox your default browser. Also, even though I went into settings and chose to open all my tabs from last time, and that I do not want to make it my default browser, it opens the same 3 stupid windows every single time I open it. Any ideas how I can fix this so that when I open Firefox, I can see the last tabs that "I" had open the last visit, without being asked about default and syncing? This has frustrated me so much that I am just thinking seriously about pitching F/Fox in the same delete box as I did with IE.

Hi !
Sorry, but I'm a bit confused: in the header you say that Google keeps asking you to make it default (search engine ? home page ?), but you're annoyed with Firefox ........
I'm sorry, I did not mean to say Google, I meant Firefox.
When did this problem start -- after a Firefox update, some other software update, or randomly? If you just did Windows updates, before doing any further troubleshooting, shut down Windows and start it up again to address possible post-update permission issues.
If you change the option for not having Firefox prompt you about becoming your default browser, and the next time you start Firefox that setting was lost, please see the following article for possible explanations: How to fix preferences that won't save.
On the page about restoring your tabs, does it say something like "This is embarrassing"? That's a crash recovery page indicating that Firefox believes it crashed AND also wasn't able to automatically restore the session on the first try. Something is definitely going wrong with your Firefox, possibly these are related.
