Send to kindle does not work

Send to Kindle had worked for several months now it does not work. Drop down menu shows ,but when I select send or preview and send, nothing happens. I tried uninstalling the add-on and reinstalling. Send to kindle for Chrome works fine. I usually use Firefox for browsing but it's now useless for sending pages to kindle.
