Hi, You can easily import your MBOX files into Thunderbird using an add-on i.e. ImportExportTools. This add-on can be downloaded and installed in Mozilla Thunderbird. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to install add-on:
- Download add-on and store it in the drive.
- Open Thunderbird, then go to Add-ons and then * Bulleted list itemnavigate to Extensions.
- Click the gear icon and choose the option, install Add-on from the file and Open.
- Finally, Restart Thunderbird.
That’s how ImportExportTools will be added in Mozilla Thunderbird.
- Open Thunderbird and click on Menu.
- Choose Tools option from the Menu and then click on ImportExportTools.
- Select import MBOX file option.
- A dialog box will appear. Select option to import directly one or more MBOX files and then click OK.
- Browse file which is to be imported and click Open.

Hello,
I have tried this solution but it is a time-consuming procedure and have some limitations as well. Using this ImportExportTools, the folder structure of the MBOX file is not maintained. So, Is there any solution using which I can import MBOX files into Thunderbird easily while maintaining folder structure?
Hi,
Yes, there is an alternative solution too i.e. a third party software to import MBOX files into Thunderbird using which you can easily add MBOX file to Thunderbird. Another benefit of using the software is that it maintains the folder structure of file intact.
