I use chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul on Seamonkey to recover passwords. I am now using Firefox, but cannot seem to move the data from one browser to the other. I tried copying key2.db and logins.json from the seamonkey profile to the firefox profile with nothing showing up when I go to chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul on firefox.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Firefox 60 uses a key4.db file and the older key2.db file isn't compatible. The current version of SeaMonkey is based upon Firefox 49.0 and the Passwords system is a real old version when compared to Firefox 60.

Since SeaMonkey isn't even supported here at SUMO any longer, my advice is to try the SeaMonkey support forum over at mozillaZine. I you're not already registered there, you will need to register to be able to post at mozillaZine. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=40 Maybe someone there will know how to get your Password data into Firefox 60.

Meant to type key3.db, not key2.db, but guess that does not matter. Posted in the SM site. Thanks for the suggestion.
