I got this notification on my S9 this morning. I wasn't doing anything that required the browser to access my camera - it was completely random. The browser did not ask for permission to use the app.

What the hell is going on? I've blocked access to my camera for all apps in the meantime.

Hi

I have contacted one of our developers who has explained that this is probably due to an advert on the page that you are viewing in Firefox for Android querying the media devices (such as the camera) that are installed on the device.

You should be presented with a choice of wherther you would like to allow this, and can change this in the Android settings at a later date if you wish.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply, but I doubt that was the issue as I'm running adblockers both in the browser and via dns. I almost never see ads on my device.

There was no prompt - just a notification that my system had detected firefox accessing the camera. This is the second time I've gotten this notification. My antivirus hasn't detected any malware on my phone. I have since disabled my camera.
