Also getting error messages when trying to use email on my MacBook Air. Asked this yesterday on another Mozilla forum, but did not resolve.

Email works fine on my iPhone, since gmail works directly with my iOS, if that is how things work.

I am seriously considering dropping third...can anyone work me through this? Thanks, Steve

RE: Empty folders Did you try this:

  • Right click on folder and select 'Properties'
  • click on 'Repair folder'
  • click on 'OK'

If the inbox and other folders are empty after an upgrade, the first simple step that often works is to delete the global search index file, while TB is closed:

If that doesn't help, there are other, more involved ways to recover the profile.

Somehow, I fixed the problem by verifying the email addresses for two other gmail accounts I have synced with Thunderbird!
