Hello.

Flash files stopped being supported on January 12th. I am a user of a site where "mini chat" uses swf files as the sound of a new message. Since firefox does not play these files, is there any option to notify (e.g. beep sound) that a site has tried to play such a file? maybe some kind of addon?

Or is there a way to make swf files work only on this page?

The site can switch to playing an MP3 file using JavaScript. This is an old thread, but for example: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10105063/how-to-play-a-notification-sound-on-websites

However, if the site doesn't update, hmm. Maybe some kind of add-on that watches for changes within the page could alert you?

Site is kinda old ;-) I suggested to the Website Owner to change the audio files to the "normal" extension but I am only a user...

And I guess I'm the only person who lacks these sounds.

I'm looking for just such an add-on but it's hard. Every web change monitor send email about changes not only sound notification. Another problem is that mini-chat is only available to logged users. The site monitors I tried are not logged in and cannot see the mini-chat frame
